Changes to Gigs’ Programme

Our gig for Beaulieu Out Of Town Centre has been moved to Saturday 30 July 2016.

We have also now been asked by The 17th Port Marine Army Base in Marchwood  to play on the same day at 17.00 to 17.45 ( stage and PA at base )

We would like to know asap if we can get enough people to do both gigs.  We are aware the afternoon could get a bit hectic and, as we do not want to split up our group, we need our ‘main’ gig players to do both, please let Kaj know what you think by email or through the Contact Us form.

The Grove

The set list for 21 April 2016 at The Grove, 25 St Johns Street, Hythe SO45 6BZ is now available HERE.

Suggest we meet before 6.30 pm to get set up, and test the PA. Playing between 7.00 pm and 8.15 pm with break at 7.30 pm for the lighting of the beacon.

The evening could get cold and we don’t all have warm Hug tops, so anything red/white/blue will be appropriate.  There is external lighting but it may be difficult to read music so if you have a small light do bring it.

Change of venue

The HUG Practice Session on 5 May 2016 will be held at the Exbury Club as our usual venue is being used for the elections as a Polling Station.

The usual charge of £2.00 per head will be levied to cover the cost of hall hire at Exbury.

We will introduce a couple of new songs just to keep you on your toes, and of course go through the ‘pack’ as we do  (so bring your whole folder)…. hope to see you there at the normal time of 19.30 pm.

If you need a lift, please request through the “Contact Us” form.

Chance to jam with the Southampton Jam

Southampton Ukulele Jam have been asked to do a couple of sets at Milford on       Sunday 24 April  – Two half hour slots 11.30 am and 12.30 pm. at  the Climb for Nepal event on the green. They are short of players as it clashes with another gig at the Southampton Marathon.

The set list will be from SUJ songs but they’re all fairly straight forward! So if anyone from HUG fancies joining SUJ for one or both of the sets, please contact Jane Lane or complete the contact form and it will be forwarded to Jane.

The Grove update

torchHUG gig on the 21st April 2016 at The Grove in Hythe
