Back to a “normal” HUG practice session on Thursday 6 October 2016. The set list is now available HERE, but please note there are some new songs that are available from DROPBOX as well as ones taken from the “generic list“.
September 2016 has 5 Thursdays, which means that we have a week off from playing ukulele this coming Thursday. However, if you still need your weekly ukulele fix, the Exbury Club is happy to welcome us to play in their convention room. The format is up to whoever turns up, but we can play standard HUG repertoire, play some of Harry’s songs, do solo party pieces or otherwise entertain ourselves. Usual start time 7.30 pm. The bar will be open, and there is a £1 temporary membership fee for non-members of Exbury.
A number of new songs have been added to Dropbox, please visit there to update your song folders.
HUG’s next gig will be at Solent Mead Day Centre, Church Lane, Lymington SO41 3RA at 2.00 pm on Wednesday, 28 September 2016. We will play for an hour and you can download the set list HERE.

Those HUGGERS playing, and all are welcome including beginners, need to be at Gateway Club and set up in time for a sound check at 6.45 pm on 6 September 2016. Club members will arrive at 7.00 pm and we will kick of the gig about 10 minutes later. There will be a refreshment break at about 8.00 pm and a second set from about 8.20 to 8.45 pm.
For those who haven’t been before, Waterside Gateway Club is at Oak Lodge School, Roman Road, Dibden Purlieu, Southampton SO45 4RN. The school is on the Applemore College campus: go past Applemore Recreation Centre and enter the first gate to the college – the school is on the left. Park anywhere.
The set list can be found HERE, but also be prepared to play Happy Birthday for anyone who is close to one.
